This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams in the creation of purpose-driven games and interactive experiences.
• Act as the primary liaison among clients, studio leadership, project teams, and various stakeholders.
• Oversee the development process from initial concept through to release and ongoing operations.
• Balance the creative, technical, contractual, and stakeholder requirements effectively.
• Transform complex project objectives into engaging and impactful player experiences.
• Serve as the main point of contact for client stakeholders.
• Identify and manage goals for project success.
• Align strategic objectives and tactical actions with studio leadership and the finance team.
• Acquire project-related software, equipment, and external development resources.
• Plan, negotiate, and handle outsourcing contracts.
• Estimate, budget, prioritize, and schedule software development tasks.
• Monitor resource allocation, expenditures, schedules, and budgets in relation to contractual obligations.
• Track and report on project finances.
• Identify risks and issues, create mitigation strategies, and drive results for risk action plans.
• Enhance project development pipelines and workflows.
• Provide project status updates and financial reports to studio leadership.
• Communicate the project vision, goals, and objectives effectively.
• Coordinate both internal and external resources to remove obstacles and ensure SOW completion.
• Collaborate with project teams and QA on bug assignments, prioritization, and resolutions.
• Conduct project retrospectives and post-mortems.
• Deliver project demonstrations and interviews as required.
• Contribute to departmental processes and best practices.
• Exceptional practices in project management and expertise in relevant software.
• Demonstrated financial and business acumen.
• Strong proactive and collaborative communication skills.
• Driven by meticulous, objective, and detail-oriented work.
• Ability to function effectively within a team.
• Experience with Unity, Unreal, or other proprietary engines, whether amateur or professional.
• A keen interest in the industry and a commitment to creating high-quality interactive experiences aimed at successful product launches.
• Significant experience with task-tracking and project management software.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance; ongoing employment may depend on successfully securing and upholding that clearance.
• Previous experience in video game development, particularly with games, simulations, or interactive products for educational, training, or mission-driven clients (preferred).
• PMI PMP Certification (preferred).
