Procurement Specialist, Material Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a communication bridge between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners, and the DSV fulfillment site.

• Ensure that commitments from demand planning teams are adhered to within the agreed product lead times.

• Address and resolve material delivery delays within the stipulated timelines.

• Oversee and report on lead times for customer purchase orders.

• Expedite purchase orders when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with the recommit process.

• Analyze backlog reports and coordinate escalations with suppliers.

• Evaluate recommits and rejected expedited requests.

• Assess supplier build and shipping plans in relation to purchase order commitment dates.

• Identify, document, and report potential issues that could affect on-time shipments on a weekly basis.

• Schedule orders manually when they fall outside the product’s scheduled lead time and investigate the underlying causes.

• Monitor purchase orders to guarantee shipment within the designated lead time.

• Provide reports on lead-time commitment achievement and manage corrective measures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Generally, 2–4 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Outstanding interpersonal and analytical abilities.

• Capability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must pass necessary federal, state, local government, airport, or company background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

• Proficient in tackling complex problems that necessitate thorough analysis.

• Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies.

• Regular interaction with peers, management, and senior management is expected.

• Competence to determine methods and procedures for new assignments and offer guidance to lower-level personnel.
