This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report to the Senior Director of North American Procurement
• Oversee all aspects of procurement involving contract manufacturers and tollers across various business units in North America
• Generate foundational value and competitive edge for stakeholders
• Meet and surpass quality, cost, and service performance objectives for North American operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in North America and globally to develop, maintain, and modify supply strategies for sustainable Total Cost of Ownership
• Formulate and execute sourcing strategies aimed at achieving cost reductions and operational efficiencies
• Cultivate and sustain supplier relationships to ensure consistent and reliable supply
• Identify suppliers and negotiate advantageous terms and conditions
• Set supplier performance metrics and KPIs for ongoing improvement and compliance
• Work in conjunction with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
• Supervise, mentor, and develop sourcing professionals
• Track industry trends and enhance sourcing capabilities
• Align procurement processes and policies at country, regional, and global levels
• Support working capital objectives
• Collaborate with Engineering and Project teams on new product development and launches
• Develop procurement strategies for relevant projects
• Conduct make/buy analyses to support insourcing and outsourcing decisions
• Broaden RFQ processes to include stakeholder, technical, and end-user evaluations
• Assess and monitor post-placement contract performance and compliance
• Formulate risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain continuity
• Perform market analysis to uncover global sourcing opportunities and risks
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams regarding applicable requirements
• Manage vendor selection and qualification processes
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices in sourcing
• Develop and oversee sourcing budgets and forecasts in partnership with Finance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Technical, or a related Business field
• MBA is preferred
• Over 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing/Procurement, and leading projects/teams
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a procurement and/or manufacturing setting, specifically with Contract Manufacturers
• Proven experience in creating category strategies and performing SWOT analysis of the supply base
• Prior involvement in make/buy decisions that influenced supply chain strategy and delivered evident customer service enhancements
• Strong negotiation abilities and capacity to build and maintain solid supplier relationships
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports
• Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and enhancing operational efficiencies, including insourcing capabilities
• Capability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and devise strategies based on data-driven insights
• Strong grasp of ethical, legal, and environmental standards related to sourcing and supply chain management
• Experience in project purchasing, contract negotiation and execution, and risk management
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools (5S, VSM, Kaizen, KPIs)
• Must possess the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a challenging environment
• Proven capacity to multitask while ensuring follow-through and adherence to shifting priorities and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, decision-making and problem-solving skills, and influencing capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams to align solutions with budget, schedule, and tools
• Professional and effective facilitation skills
• Attention to detail and proficiency in accurate data entry and the creation of precise written materials
• Ability to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
• Skill in establishing solid working relationships with stakeholders
• Professional communication skills with peers, customers, and vendors, both verbal and written
• Capability to communicate technical concepts, findings, and recommendations to all stakeholders
