This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Design and execute an all-encompassing venue sourcing strategy that balances cost efficiency with high standards and suitability of event spaces.
• Build and sustain robust relationships with venue providers, negotiating advantageous terms to secure optimal rates and contracts.
• Exemplify leadership by offering guidance, training, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes, including presentations to various departments and leadership teams.
• Collaborate closely with finance and event planning teams to create budgets and cost projections for venue acquisition, ensuring economic viability and compliance with financial protocols.
• Perform market analysis to pinpoint potential venues that meet event specifications. Assess and contrast venue choices based on capacity, location, amenities, and accessibility.
• Prepare and evaluate contracts with venues, addressing terms, conditions, cancellation policies, and liability agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
• Assess potential risks linked to selected venues and develop risk management strategies to ensure successful event execution.
• Participate in the regional leadership team to collaborate with event operations and management teams, understanding event goals, audience requirements, and logistics to ensure venues fulfill all essential criteria.
• Promote sustainable venue practices and strive to incorporate eco-friendly options into venue selection processes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of venue procurement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and executing strategies to boost efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in venue procurement, sourcing, or event planning, with at least 5 years in a comparable role.
• Experience in the cheerleading/dance sector is a plus.
• Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• High level of customer service expertise.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the events industry, including venue trends and best practices.
• Familiarity with sustainable practices and their implementation in event venues is advantageous.
• Results-driven with the capability to work independently to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
