This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee, establish, negotiate, and finalize procurement contracts for the Lynn Lake Gold Project.
• Ensure timely execution of procurement contracts in collaboration with corporate legal and project stakeholders.
• Administer and manage contracts, purchase orders, amendments, and change orders.
• Formulate contracting strategies and prepare as well as execute RFx/tender processes.
• Conduct pre-award assessments and finalize contracts post-award.
• Negotiate contract terms and renewals with project teams and stakeholders.
• Manage comprehensive RFP processes, which include vendor selection, bid evaluation, negotiation, and adjudication.
• Analyze global market trends and their implications for procurement strategies.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain thorough documentation of contracts throughout their lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to sourcing strategies, procurement policies, contractual obligations, legislation, and legal requirements.
• Cultivate relationships with vendors and third-party service providers.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to address contract-related issues.
• Promote best practices in sourcing strategies, contract management, and procurement policies.
• Identify enhancements to the processes of contract formation and administration.
• Uphold confidentiality and perform additional tasks that support organizational goals.
• A post-secondary degree in a relevant field or a minimum of 5 years of experience in contract formation, execution, and management.
• A professional designation or certification in procurement, contract management, or a related discipline (preferred).
• At least 3+ years of pertinent experience in procurement and managing large tender processes, ideally in the mining or project-based industries.
• Technical understanding of contract law, claims, and holdback processes.
• Exceptional organizational abilities with a knack for prioritizing tasks and working independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to promote collaboration and team commitment.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and/or construction (preferred).
• Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana (preferred).
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English (preferred).
• Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to ongoing improvement.
• Proven ability to engage with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and add value to the organization.
