Process Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Direct and oversee process engineering teams across various projects and clients

• Offer technical direction, mentorship, and assistance to process engineers and designers

• Act as a primary technical and client-facing leader throughout the execution of projects

• Coordinate process engineering efforts with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation & controls, civil, structural, and other engineering specialties

• Evaluate and authorize process engineering calculations, studies, drawings, specifications, and technical outputs

• Create process design methodologies, engineering scopes, studies, and project budgets

• Conduct and supervise process simulations, hydraulic analyses, equipment sizing, and process design calculations

• Generate and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process datasheets, and equipment specifications

• Assist in equipment selection, procurement processes, vendor coordination, and technical bid assessments

• Resolve complex process engineering challenges and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions

• Aid in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management

• Engage in client meetings, design evaluations, technical discussions, and project presentations

• Perform field walkdowns, site evaluations, commissioning, start-up, and other field-related activities as necessary

• Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of engineering standards, processes, and quality expectations

• Identify areas for enhancing project execution, technical capabilities, and team performance

• Travel occasionally to client and project locations as needed

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field

• Over 10 years of professional experience in process engineering

• Proven experience in leading process engineering projects, teams, or departments

• Background in supporting oil & gas, midstream, downstream, LNG, natural gas, gas processing, power generation, or other industrial energy projects

• Strong grasp of process engineering principles, process design, and engineering methodologies

• Proficient in process simulations, hydraulic analyses, equipment sizing, process calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications

• Experienced in engineering design, equipment selection, procurement, vendor coordination, and field assistance

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and synchronize technical activities across disciplines

• Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and client management abilities

• Willingness to travel to project and client sites as required
