This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +3 more states.
• Oversee the mechanical design processes and deliverables from initial concept to construction.
• Conduct engineering calculations, system assessments, equipment sizing, and technical evaluations.
• Create equipment specifications, P&IDs, equipment lists, line lists, POC lists, operational specifications, and installation scope documents.
• Work closely with designers to convert engineering concepts into cohesive drawings.
• Liaise with project disciplines, clients, vendors, and suppliers.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients.
• Estimate engineering hours, timelines, and deliverables for proposals and project planning.
• Offer technical leadership through QA/QC reviews, oversight, mentoring, and coaching.
• Assist with construction, commissioning, checkout, and startup through both onsite and remote support.
• Direct process mechanical discipline execution and coordinate project team members to fulfill quality, schedule, and client expectations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or comparable technical experience.
• 10+ years of process engineering experience in industrial manufacturing, consulting, or EPC settings.
• Proven experience in developing process engineering deliverables from concept to construction.
• Familiarity with specifying and implementing industrial process equipment and piping systems.
• Willingness to travel as required, averaging up to 25% annually.
• Experience in creating engineered packages, including scopes of work, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and mechanical equipment layouts.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capability to obtain licensure.
• Prior experience in a consulting engineering or EPC environment.
• Practical experience with 3D tools such as Navisworks, Plant 3D, virtual reality (VR), and 3D scanning technologies.
• Background in supporting projects in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-regulated environments.
• Understanding of sanitary design standards and practices.
• Experience in developing or implementing Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems.
