This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee business development and relationship management with institutional investors, family offices, OCIO, and private wealth platforms in the Canadian market.
• Formulate and implement a regional growth strategy aimed at establishing new LP relationships while enhancing existing ones.
• Act as the main point of contact for potential clients, creating and presenting proposals, presentations, and strategic insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams across research, investment, operations, and client advisory to provide seamless and insightful experiences for clients.
• Stay informed about changing market trends, fund strategies, and client requirements to ensure Aksia’s offerings are competitive and credible.
• 8–12+ years of experience in investor relations, business development, or institutional sales with an emphasis on alternative investments.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in one or more alternative strategies: private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, or real estate.
• Proven track record of building LP relationships within the Canadian institutional and/or private wealth sectors.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Capability to independently manage multiple complex client engagements and internal projects.
• Strong initiative, integrity, and business acumen.
• Regional fluency and cultural understanding within the designated coverage area.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to nurture and maintain client relationships.
• Proficient writing and communication skills in English, with knowledge of a regional language being an advantage.
