This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Deliver patient care by eliminating obstacles to medication access.
β’ Collaborate with insurance providers and clinician offices to expedite medication approvals through prior authorizations.
β’ Offer phone support to patients by navigating pharmacy dispensing systems to process claims, refill medications, and enhance patient adherence.
β’ Communicate directly with insurance companies to facilitate medication approval.
β’ Utilize pharmacy operating systems to enter data, perform adjudication on test claims, and develop follow-up action plans.
β’ Effectively document patient concerns, prior authorization statuses, and financial assistance needs across databases, electronic medical records, and emails.
β’ Review prescriptions with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
β’ Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of patient interactions.
β’ Assist patients in managing their pharmacy insurance claims.
β’ Collaborate closely with pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons to provide integrated, high-quality patient care.
β’ Directly communicate with patients over the phone to support all aspects of medication compliance.
β’ Research and analyze information to enable informed decision-making for others.
β’ Manage, organize, and update pertinent data utilizing database applications.
β’ Apply insights and recommendations to operational challenges, enhancing productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
β’ Identify trends, troubleshoot issues, recommend enhancements, and implement changes.
β’ Actively engage in process improvement initiatives.
β’ Serve as a valued business partner to stakeholders across the organization.
β’ Safeguard the organization's integrity by maintaining confidentiality of information.
β’ Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, reading professional literature, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
β’ Minimal travel, either in-state or out-of-state, may be required.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
β’ Must be state registered or certified as a pharmacy technician.
β’ National certification as a CPhT or an equivalent qualification is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
β’ High school diploma or GED is required.
