Principal Workday Analyst – Compensation, Talent Management, Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Advanced Compensation sector while supporting Talent Management and Performance areas.

• Guide functional stakeholders through the risk assessment and impact evaluation of Workday enhancements and change requests.

• Make informed decisions on business processes and system configurations, ensuring adherence to global compliance standards.

• Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise, vendors, and IT to design, implement, and sustain HR technologies.

• Develop and maintain Advanced Compensation frameworks.

• Configure and provide support for Talent Management and Performance modules.

• Ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.

• Lead system upgrades and feature implementations.

• Serve as a Workday subject matter expert in compensation and talent domains.

• Meet with HR business partners and leadership regarding compensation cycles, talent reviews, and performance initiatives.

• Evaluate and prioritize Workday tickets and enhancement requests.

• Analyze requirements for compensation plans, bonus structures, and performance procedures.

• Configure Workday Advanced Compensation plans, including merit, bonus, and stock options.

• Update Talent Management and Performance templates for goal-setting, review cycles, and feedback processes.

• Test configurations and enhancements in the Workday sandbox, documenting results and issues.

• Resolve complex issues related to compensation calculations, eligibility rules, and talent review workflows.

• Address inquiries from HR, managers, and employees regarding functionality and data discrepancies.

• Monitor compensation and performance processes to identify errors or bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with IT and Workday analysts on integrations and data flows.

• Research Workday updates and best practices to enhance processes.

• Document system changes, configuration decisions, and lessons learned.

• Mentor and coach junior team members.

• Train and guide HR team members and end-users on new features and process modifications.

• Strategize for releases and identify opportunities to leverage new Workday functionalities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with over 7 years of experience in Human Capital Management systems, including Workday Advanced Compensation configuration, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in Talent Management configuration.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Information Systems.

• Familiarity with HR systems.

• Workday Pro or Partner certification is preferred.

• Proven experience in implementing Workday.

• Ability to work collaboratively across functions.

• Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, collaboration, data and systems analysis, idea generation, and customer focus.

• Capability to promote diversity and inclusion.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and technical proficiency.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a degree that satisfies 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

• Eligibility for principal-level U.S. work authorization sponsorship; candidates must meet applicable authorization requirements.
