This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Conduct technology assessments, risk evaluations, and product analyses related to power electronics, which include audits, inspections, conformity evaluations, field testing, and technical due diligence for power electronics and MV/HV systems.
• Create comprehensive technology reports, strategic roadmaps, and market analyses to assist both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring precision, clarity, and strategic relevance.
• Execute on-site projects by applying power electronics technology and standards while working in collaboration with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders to address technical issues and guarantee compliance.
• Carry out thorough field testing of power electronics systems to confirm functionality, performance, and compliance, while also suggesting enhancements and optimizations.
• Offer extensive technical knowledge in areas such as Transformers and Inverters, PCA, MV/HV systems, substations, grid interconnections, Switchgear, and power conversion systems.
• Remain informed about emerging trends and technologies in power electronics and renewable energy.
• A bachelor's or master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Renewable Energy.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years focused on solar or energy storage technologies.
• Advanced expertise in transformers, inverters, and other power electronic components utilized in utility-scale PV plants (PCA, grid connections, switchgear, etc.), including knowledge of systems design, manufacturing processes, and adherence to industry standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of power electronics for utility-scale PV plants, including transformers, inverters, PCA, converters, MV/HV systems, substations, and switchgear, as well as IEC/UL/IEEE standards.
• Familiarity with PV modules, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and industrial manufacturing processes for power electronic components.
• Proven experience in technical due diligence, engineering design review and validation, and technology benchmarking and roadmap development.
• Willingness to travel globally.
