Principal Technical Program Manager – Security and Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee compliance initiatives within the Engineering department

• Manage all stages of engineering activities related to security audits, such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001

• Support Engineering in strategizing for upcoming compliance frameworks like FedRAMP

• Facilitate collaboration on customer trust initiatives across Engineering and Product teams

• Partner with PANW Customer Trust teams to deliver accurate information to customers and prospects in response to security questionnaires

• Revise answer banks and AI tools to alleviate workload for PANW GRC teams

• Navigate Information Security protocols for Engineering

• Identify business or technical requirements that necessitate special handling or exceptions from InfoSec and secure those exceptions

• Gather and monitor security tasks assigned to Observability by InfoSec, providing updates while safeguarding roadmaps from disruptions

• Initiate and uphold Third Party Risk Management for risks unique to Chronosphere

• Develop and implement integration execution strategies

• Create and oversee a plan to transition from a Managed Security Provider to internal security expertise

• Formulate and execute a strategy to move to an on-premise software development lifecycle for code hosting, continuous integration, and deployment

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (12-15+ years) in highly technical settings, encompassing software engineering, production engineering, and information security

• Proficient in both on-premise and cloud-based technology services

• Knowledgeable in delivering products through a SaaS model, including industry best practices

• Effective communicator with engineers and product teams, including leadership

• Practical experience with project management tools such as JIRA or Linear

• Familiarity with a lightweight Agile environment, collaborating with teams utilizing Scrum
