This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Acquire, implement, and advocate for Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance Tools at Westinghouse and among our suppliers.
• Spearhead supplier development and qualification initiatives for new products and cost-saving measures. This involves identifying project risks and mitigation strategies, managing project timelines, approving supplier process documentation, conducting process capability analyses, measurement system evaluations, and contributing to design for manufacturability.
• Conduct technical evaluations of new suppliers regarding their manufacturing capabilities, capacities, process controls, and supply chain risks.
• Carry out on-site and remote supplier supervision to enhance performance, address issues, and confirm their ability to meet requirements.
• Oversee internal and supplier corrective action requests, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure the completion of preventive and corrective measures.
• Lead and escalate 'quality events', coordinating activities, issuing communications, and identifying team members to ensure the swift identification of affected products, their disposition, and corrective actions.
• Assess procurement risks, gather partner feedback, and utilize tools to formulate security of supply risk mitigation strategies.
• Leverage manufacturing process expertise for make/buy determinations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, such as CNC machining.
• Experience in conducting process capability analyses (Cpk) and qualifications.
• Proficient understanding of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs.
• Skilled in identifying key project tasks, developing timelines, and managing expenditures.
• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience in drafting technical documents or operational procedures.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications according to ASME standards.
• Experience with nuclear products and standards is preferred.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
