Principal, Strategic Planning – Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee planning and integration efforts across Core Engineering & Platforms (CEP) as well as various product teams.

• Manage the sequencing and execution of backlogs among infrastructure, platform, digital product, and engineering teams.

• Enhance the delivery of essential strategic results.

• Collaborate with Digital Product Managers to gather, shape, and represent customer feedback within CEP priorities.

• Optimize customer and stakeholder interactions to minimize repetitive requests and fragmented input.

• Align workforce planning and skill development with anticipated future needs and organizational capabilities.

• Facilitate influencer development, specialized onboarding bootcamps, and innovation zones focused on infrastructure learning.

• Align strategic vendor interactions with enterprise objectives and nurture external partner relationships.

• Develop clear strategic narratives that encompass CEP strategy, progress, impact, OKRs, ORCC, technology execution reviews, and materials for the board.

• Lead, cultivate, and oversee large, high-performing organizations and distributed teams.

• Establish decision-making rights, accountability frameworks, governance structures, operational rhythms, and succession planning.

• Drive transformations, system implementations, organizational integrations, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in leading strategic initiatives within complex, technology-driven organizations.

• Experience in financial services, insurance, technology, consulting, or other highly regulated sectors undergoing substantial digital transformation.

• Capability to develop and implement enterprise technology strategies.

• Proficiency in translating complex business objectives into actionable plans with measurable results.

• Established success in influencing senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

• Solid understanding of technology and product operating frameworks.

• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams.

• Exceptional skill in synthesizing complex information into clear executive communications and strategic narratives.

• Proven track record in building, developing, and leading large, high-performing organizations.

• Strong operational expertise and skills in process optimization.

• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical abilities, business acumen, and continuous improvement skills.

• Ability to influence, negotiate, establish alignment, and drive results across various organizational levels.

• Proven capability to lead large multi-location teams through transformations, system implementations, and organizational integrations.
