Principal Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the operating model and conduct GMV/variance analysis to guide planning, capital allocation, and performance assessment.

• Collaborate with the Controller to enhance monthly budget-versus-actual analysis and lessen completion time.

• Create live departmental dashboards to provide timely insights into organizational expenditures.

• Manage forecasting and the business review cycle, which includes variance analysis and board reporting.

• Assume responsibility for the GMV forecasting model, ensuring its methodology and data are accurately maintained.

• Develop cohort-based models for provider launch performance, breaking down rate and volume variances.

• Actively identify emerging trends and risks before they escalate into issues.

• Refine and document financial processes, encompassing budget-versus-actual cadence, variance reporting, and ROI frameworks.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to pinpoint improvements in cost-to-serve and unit economics.

• Implement the strategic finance technology stack while ensuring data integrity is upheld.

• Formulate and present strategic initiatives and assist with broader initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience across investment banking, private equity, consulting, and finance in high-growth startups.

• Strong analytical background.

• Previous experience in building or leading a strategic finance function within a startup is essential.

• Proven ability to construct detailed financial models and influence board narratives, planning cycles, and capital allocation decisions.

• Capability to work independently, develop trust with cross-functional leaders, and implement process improvements.

• A passion for transforming finance into a strategic partner throughout the organization.
