
Principal Specialist, Global Strategic Sourcing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Formulate a strategic approach for a commodity and supply base.
β’ Partner with various business units to implement Supply Chain strategies.
β’ Take ownership and responsibility for working with multiple strategic suppliers.
β’ Assess and choose supplier alignments based on pricing competitiveness, capabilities, quality, and reliability (TCO).
β’ Examine data and information to establish fair pricing.
β’ Negotiate and finalize long-term agreements with the supply base that align with the commodity strategy and the needs of internal stakeholders.
β’ Oversee the sourcing process from RFQ to contract signing.
β’ Operate with minimal oversight from leadership.
β’ Manage multiple projects simultaneously, each varying in complexity.
β’ Effectively convey the status of commodities or projects to leadership.
β’ Identify and seek out VA/VE opportunities through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
β’ Spearhead change management or work transfer initiatives aimed at cost savings or improved alignment with the supply base.
β’ Influence and support Collins' strategic initiatives and change management projects.
β’ Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or alternatively, 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
β’ Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain practices and Commodity Management.
β’ Experience with Connectors or Harness Assembly.
β’ Strong analytical skills (Excel, Access database, SAP).
