This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop and lead the comprehensive architecture strategy, with active participation in design, documentation, and implementation.
• Collaborate with technical teams and department leaders to deliver intricate projects that may involve multiple systems.
• Analyze, document, enhance, and sustain architectures developed within the team.
• Work closely with the IT operations team to request and refine hardware requirements for both existing and new systems.
• Formulate strategies and transition plans to ensure timely project delivery.
• Assume responsibility for executing the technology roadmap to transition the existing architecture to a new, stable design.
• Collaborate with the Security team to address any security vulnerabilities identified in the infrastructure.
• Meet Allied’s standards for productivity, quality, and achievement of goals.
• Work closely with the department leader to prioritize and strategize effectively.
• Comply with and implement all relevant privacy and security regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, and related regulations.
• Over 15 years of experience in architecting and supporting development projects within the Microsoft stack.
• Ability to facilitate collaborative architecture sessions with a diverse range of participants, including technical leaders and stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in developing system models, UML diagrams, and workflow diagrams.
• Experience in identifying technology requirements and gaps, along with potential solutions and alternatives.
• Strong foundation in SDLC, Agile methodologies, distributed systems, CI/CD, data engineering technologies, API integration, and Micro/Mini/Macro services.
• Extensive knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to train development teams to adhere to established practices.
• Capability to evaluate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions or propose alternative in-house solutions, guided by budget, time, and scalability considerations.
• Experience in orchestrating monitoring and alerting solutions across all systems.
• Ability to establish an escalation process to prevent downtime and comply with SLAs.
• Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and architectural principles.
• A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required.
