Principal Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable, resilient, and secure environments, focusing primarily on AWS.

• Implement and oversee core AWS services, which include networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53), Kubernetes (EKS), computing (EC2, Lambda), storage (S3, EBS), and databases (RDS).

• Architect and manage containerized workloads utilizing Amazon EKS, encompassing cluster management, scaling, and security measures.

• Advocate for and execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing tools such as Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.

• Develop, oversee, and enhance robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and dependable software delivery, integrating security best practices directly within the platform and pipelines.

• Serve as a cloud subject matter expert, offering guidance and support to development teams to maximize their utilization of the platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10 years of experience with any of the following technologies:

• Expert-level proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with significant hands-on experience in Terraform or other programming languages.

• Extensive experience with container orchestration, particularly in designing and managing Amazon EKS.

• Strong understanding of AWS IAM roles, policies, and security best practices.

• Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).

• Solid grasp of cloud networking, Linux/Unix administration, and security principles.

• Proficient in Git and modern GitOps methodologies.

• Must possess and maintain the required DoD 8140 certifications.
