This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Take ownership of the architecture and technical strategy for an integrated telemetry and observability platform, ranging from endpoint collection SDK to cloud ingestion, decoding, and analytics.
• Design telemetry collection methods that are crash-resilient, resource-efficient, prioritize effectively, and are sensitive to performance requirements.
• Lead initiatives in structured logging and data governance, ensuring type safety, PII auditability, and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Advance the platform's capabilities while maintaining stability for existing users.
• Act as the primary technical authority for telemetry across various teams.
• Manage designs from initial concept through to deployed code across on-endpoint and in-cloud, cross-platform deliverables.
• Lead, mentor, and elevate the technical standards within a distributed engineering team.
• Extensive, hands-on experience in architecting large-scale telemetry, observability, or crash-reporting platforms end-to-end, from agent SDK to cloud ingestion and analytics within production environments.
• Proficient in low-level and systems engineering using C/C++.
• Experience with structured logging, telemetry data governance, and handling privacy/PII at scale.
• Proven track record of shipping and evolving platforms without disrupting existing consumers.
• Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams.
• Strong debugging skills addressing crashes, memory problems, contention, and system performance issues.
• Capacity to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
• Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive business results.
• Expertise in developing scalable, lightweight, high-performance systems and OS internals across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with OS-level performance and diagnostic instrumentation, including ETW and PMU/hardware telemetry.
• Knowledge of data lake and analytics stacks, such as KQL, SQL, and Snowflake.
• Experience with Go-based cloud services.
• Understanding of endpoint security domains.
• Comfortable working in an Agile team with frequent delivery cycles.
