This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the technical vision for both short- and long-term initiatives related to the mobile platform on iOS and Android.
• Design, develop, and enhance essential systems that power ServiceTitan's iOS and Android applications.
• Enhance the security, availability, reliability, and performance of mobile products.
• Lead and engage in significant architectural and strategic decisions concerning scalability.
• Create tools and systems aimed at boosting efficiency for mobile engineers.
• Elevate performance, processes, and quality throughout the mobile organization.
• Recognize and develop shared systems that benefit various mobile teams.
• Mentor and support engineers within the mobile organization and beyond.
• Collaborate with the Recruiting team on candidate interviews, lead generation, and screening processes.
• Contribute to the mobile roadmap and assist in resource planning.
• Establish success metrics and monitor them consistently.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Allocate approximately 60% of time to development tasks and 40% to other responsibilities.
• Over 15 years of industry experience, particularly in building large-scale consumer or enterprise mobile applications.
• More than 10 years in senior engineering positions with a focus on designing APIs, abstractions, and tools utilized by other engineers.
• Expert-level knowledge in native iOS development using Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and Xcode, alongside or native Android development with Kotlin, Jetpack, and Android Studio.
• Extensive expertise in one mobile platform with solid working knowledge of the other.
• Experience architecting mobile applications for scalability, including modularization, offline-first design, dependency injection, and clear separation of concerns.
• Proven experience in transitioning monolithic mobile codebases to modular, domain-based architectures.
• Strong background in mobile performance engineering, focusing on startup time, memory and battery efficiency, rendering performance, and crash-free rates.
• Familiarity with mobile observability and monitoring tools such as Firebase Crashlytics, Datadog, New Relic, or Application Insights.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and release automation tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or TeamCity.
• In-depth knowledge of version control, unit and UI testing, debugging, and profiling tools used in mobile development.
• Experience integrating large-scale third-party SDKs and APIs within mobile applications.
• Working understanding of cloud infrastructure that supports mobile backends, such as Azure or AWS.
• Ability to empathize with users and advocate for their experience.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
