Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and uphold scalable data pipelines that efficiently ingest and process substantial volumes of security telemetry.

• Manage API and event stream integrations with third-party EDR, IAM, cloud, and SaaS data sources.

• Collaborate with product stakeholders to create data solutions for both internal and external clients.

• Provide guidance on technical direction for swift product development and effective backend scalability.

• Utilize AI agents to address data mapping and entity-correlation challenges.

• Establish and advocate for engineering standards and best practices, including observability, monitoring, and automated testing.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives and facilitate architectural modifications to meet stringent latency and reliability criteria.

• Share ownership of data ingestion, transformation, and search layers that support agentic threat-hunting workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in developing large-scale distributed systems that support customer-facing products.

• Proficient in Python, Java, Go, Rust, or related programming languages.

• Practical experience in designing large-scale event-streaming systems like Kafka or equivalents.

• Familiarity with search or analytics products that handle extensive datasets.

• Strong systems thinking with a solid understanding of performance, cost, and complexity trade-offs.

• Experience with AWS or GCP platforms.

• Capacity to adapt, iterate, and deliver quickly.

• Proven experience in building and scaling distributed systems from inception.

• Background in DevOps or platform engineering.

• Experience in the cybersecurity field.

• Familiarity with startup environments.
