Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the design and execution of scalable, high-quality full-stack solutions.

• Perform architectural and code assessments while promoting engineering best practices.

• Advocate for CI/CD, DevOps, and agile development methodologies.

• Create, develop, and sustain front-end and back-end application components.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to develop responsive and accessible user interfaces.

• Integrate front-end and back-end systems while optimizing APIs and data workflows.

• Establish and document modular, scalable software architecture.

• Assess and implement cloud-native solutions and platform infrastructure.

• Evaluate architectural choices in relation to business objectives, technical debt, and emerging technologies.

• Mentor and coach engineers, providing technical guidance on complex issues.

• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals.

• Convey technical strategies, progress, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Facilitate collaboration across teams and promote unified technology strategies.

• Investigate new technologies, frameworks, and development practices.

• Lead proof of concepts and pilot projects.

• Encourage continuous improvement and enhance delivery efficiencies.

• Identify and resolve full-stack performance bottlenecks.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform availability and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in full-stack software development.

• Demonstrated success in leading and delivering complex projects.

• Experience in a principal or senior technical leadership position.

• Background in guiding architecture and mentoring engineering teams.

• Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Strong back-end development expertise with Node.js, Python, or .NET.

• Knowledgeable in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker.

• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data modeling.

• Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to varied audiences.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively across teams and foster stakeholder relationships.

• Enthusiasm for technology and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.

• Dedication to delivering high-quality software solutions.

• Capability to operate computer equipment and perform specified physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs.
