This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the formulation, planning, and implementation of a comprehensive long-term technical strategy, converting business and clinical objectives into a unified organizational technical vision.
• Establish architectural standards and steer the long-term architectural strategy throughout the organization.
• Provide counsel to engineering leadership and executives, shaping strategic direction and delivering recommendations to VPs and the CTO.
• Investigate early-stage concepts and proofs of concept to mitigate risks associated with future initiatives.
• Coach and assist in the design and development of intricate cross-team systems and products.
• Mentor senior and staff+ engineers.
• Foster technology-wide collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and craftsmanship practices.
• Propel innovation and ensure the successful completion of complex, cross-organizational projects.
• Advocate for AI adoption within engineering and product teams.
• Represent engineering interests while ensuring alignment of technical decisions with business objectives.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for addressing production incidents.
• Simplify complex technical concepts for clinical, product, business, and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate across functions to convert goals into technical architecture and specifications.
• Assess technical scope and timelines for substantial cross-team initiatives.
• Deliver scalable, stable, efficient, maintainable, and extensible technical solutions.
• Influence the organization’s learning culture and the long-term strategy for engineering processes.
• Exhibit executive-level composure in high-pressure, ambiguous environments.
• Extensive experience in systems, architecture, and design.
• Proven history of establishing technical strategy and aligning various engineering teams.
• Experience in defining architectural standards and mentoring engineers.
• Profound understanding of front-end applications, APIs, and back-end services.
• Strong practical experience with React.
• Proven track record of delivering mobile digital products to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Experience with React Native is an advantage.
• Comprehensive understanding of all layers of web and mobile solutions.
• Experience leveraging AI as a transformative technology.
• Familiarity with hosting application services on AWS.
• Background in healthcare or another highly regulated sector.
• Strong collaboration and coaching abilities, with a demonstrated success in developing engineers.
• Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical and executive audiences.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and exploring early-stage ideas lacking well-defined requirements.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Experience working in a dynamic, hypergrowth, and collaborative environment.
