Principal Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.

📋 Description

• Deploy and oversee IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.

• Develop and implement robust, repeatable, standardized, and advanced technological solutions.

• Automate services and infrastructure.

• Collaborate within a coordinated cross-capability team, including Core Services, DevOps, Security, and IT Operations.

• Enhance existing systems while proactively identifying potential issues.

• Eliminate manual tasks through automation.

• Partner with a team of SREs to guarantee seamless and continuous service delivery.

• Transform service methodologies from concept to execution.

• Address complex service requests and resolve them promptly.

• Measure and instrument key performance indicators in the production environment.

• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications.

• Scale systems via automation.

• Collaborate with cross-team members to complete assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be capable of obtaining a Secret clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI clearance in the near future.

• 4 to 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering.

• Proficiency with Juniper networking.

• A commitment to delivering excellence with a focus on fulfilling user needs.

• Understanding of cloud technologies and service lifecycle management.

• Experience in deploying capabilities and services through automation tools such as Ansible or Helm Charts.

• Familiarity with storage technologies including NFS, JDFS, Ceph, and Object Storage (S3).

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware, Open Stack, or Azure Stack.

• Proactive in identifying and resolving performance challenges.

• Security+ certification or equivalent, or the ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days.

• A 4-year degree in an engineering-related field is preferred.

• Active Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and similar technologies is preferred.

• Experience working within cross-functional teams is preferred.

• Experience with coding that goes beyond simple scripting is preferred.

• Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, is preferred.
