This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the technical vision for your designated area of expertise.
• Design and oversee the execution of intricate security research and engineering initiatives.
• Engage independently with prospective clients and manage the sales process.
• Mentor 3–4 Senior Engineers, assisting them in expanding their professional networks and skill sets.
• Lead projects from inception to completion, both within and outside your core area of expertise.
• Spearhead the company's publications and marketing strategies in your field.
• Identify organizational and operational challenges within the team.
• Architect and supervise the development of software tools and frameworks focused on security.
• Collaborate closely with other practices to comprehend their obstacles and requirements.
• Direct the team's strategy regarding AI/ML security research and tooling.
• Extensive experience in software development and security engineering, with significant expertise in Rust, C++, and/or Python.
• A well-established professional network within the security sector, government, or related technical communities.
• Proven success in leading security projects from start to finish, encompassing scoping, proposal, and delivery.
• Experience in engaging with clients and participating in the sales or business development processes.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and advance senior engineers, aiding in their career growth and professional networking.
• Experience in setting the technical vision and strategy for a team or practice area.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML systems and their related security challenges.
• Experience with public speaking at conferences, panels, or industry events.
• Published works that showcase thought leadership in security, such as blog posts, whitepapers, academic articles, or open-source tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with technical teams, clients, and executive leadership.
• Experience in writing Statements of Work (SoWs), crafting proposals, and supporting the business development lifecycle.
• Ability to identify organizational and operational issues and facilitate solutions.
