This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive formulation strategy across various programs and represent Formulation/Pharmaceutical Development on CMC and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Articulate strategy, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations effectively.
• Design, supervise, and analyze formulation studies for innovative drug candidates, which may include small molecules and/or ASOs.
• Convert study insights into informed development decisions.
• Create phase-appropriate formulations and scalable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with Discovery and other departments to facilitate preclinical studies and clinical development.
• Provide scientific guidance for formulation and process development at CDMOs.
• Ensure that external activities adhere to Praxis quality standards, timelines, and clinical manufacturing requirements.
• Write and contribute to formulation development reports and CMC sections of INDs, IMPDs, NDAs, and other related submissions.
• Mentor scientists and external collaborators, unify cross-functional teams, and address challenges impacting program advancement.
• PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, chemical or biochemical engineering, chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
• 8+ years of pertinent industry experience.
• Profound comprehension of physicochemical and biopharmaceutical characteristics and their relevance to formulation and drug product design.
• Proven experience in leading formulation development and manufacturing process development from early-stage initiatives through to clinical supply.
• Strong scientific judgment and innovative problem-solving skills in complex development settings.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to influence across various functions and communicate clearly and directly.
• Highly organized and detail-focused, with the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Self-directed decision-making and accountability in a dynamic environment.
