This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Establish and execute ProPricer processes, workflows, templates, and pricing best practices throughout the organization.
• Create and standardize pricing methodologies for engineering development, manufacturing, hardware production, and government services programs.
• Construct and uphold compliant pricing models for Department of Defense and Federal Government proposals.
• Develop, review, and validate Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation.
• Generate labor, material, subcontractor, travel, and Other Direct Cost estimates for proposals.
• Create and sustain Bills of Material and manufacturing cost models for hardware and product-oriented programs.
• Support proposal cost volumes and pricing narratives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Finance, and Business Development to produce precise and defensible cost estimates.
• Establish estimating relationships, historical databases, pricing tools, and reusable estimating artifacts.
• Analyze RFPs, Statements of Work, technical requirements, and contract structures to identify pricing strategies.
• Assist in pricing reviews, executive reviews, and proposal strategy discussions.
• Train and mentor internal staff to cultivate long-term pricing capabilities.
• Create repeatable processes and documentation for upcoming proposal efforts.
• Provide support for travel or off-site work as needed.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience, or 7+ years with a graduate degree.
• Experience in government contracting, aerospace, or defense proposal pricing activities.
• Advanced-level proficiency with ProPricer.
• Background in establishing or enhancing pricing organizations, estimating functions, or proposal pricing processes.
• Experience in developing Basis of Estimate packages.
• Background in supporting hardware development, manufacturing, production, or product-oriented programs.
• Experience in developing and analyzing Bills of Material.
• Familiarity with labor estimating, material estimating, subcontractor pricing, travel, Other Direct Costs, and indirect cost structures.
• Experience with Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Time & Materials, and IDIQ contracts.
• Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and government proposal compliance requirements.
• Experience collaborating directly with engineering and technical organizations to formulate proposal estimates.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Preferred experience in space, aerospace, defense electronics, communications systems, satellite systems, or military hardware programs.
• Preferred experience in Earned Value Management environments.
• Preferred experience with DCAA-compliant estimating systems.
• Preferred experience working with major defense contractors such as General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Boeing Defense, or L3Harris.
• Active Secret Clearance preferred.
