
Principal Policy and Trade Analyst – Solar and BESS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Participate in prominent industry conferences, policy roundtables, and trade association working groups; enhance thought leadership through speaking engagements and published materials.
• Foster relationships within the trade ecosystem (SEIA, ACP, ESA, analysts, advisory firms) for early insights into policy and market changes.
• Collect client and market intelligence to inform content strategy; monitor competitor offerings to identify opportunities.
• Write the Trade & Policy Update, Top Risks Outlook, and Executive Summary for each issue of Market Insights.
• Track U.S. trade actions, legislation, and regulatory decisions impacting solar PV and BESS procurement; convert findings into actionable recommendations for clients.
• Oversee policy and trade content within Anza's Pulse product; create new content areas in response to market needs.
• Direct content strategy, theme development, and quarterly production for Market Insights.
• Collaborate with solar and BESS subject matter experts; obtain proprietary data and client insights that set the publication apart.
• Facilitate internal reviews, assist Marketing with key themes, and pinpoint opportunities to expand into alerts, briefings, and webinars.
• Represent Market Insights at events and client briefings; gather feedback to guide content planning.
• Aid sales initiatives by showcasing the publication's value to potential clients.
• Bachelor's degree in public policy, energy policy, economics, or a similar discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in energy policy analysis, market intelligence, or strategic advisory within the U.S. renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on solar PV and/or BESS.
• Proficient understanding of U.S. trade policy instruments (Section 201/232/301/337, AD/CVD, IEEPA), IRA tax credit frameworks, and FEOC compliance.
• Well-established network in U.S. renewable energy, actively participating in conferences and engaged in policy discussions.
• Proven history of producing market intelligence publications or advisory products for commercial audiences.
• Skill in distilling complex technical, regulatory, and commercial information into clear, executive-ready content.
• Knowledge of the U.S. solar PV supply chain and/or BESS market dynamics.
• Confident in presenting to senior executives and representing Anza at industry events.
