Principal PLM Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee strategic initiatives aimed at implementing and transforming PLM systems, particularly within PTC Windchill environments.

• Act as a reliable advisor for clients and partners navigating complex technical environments and delivering PLM solutions.

• Collaborate with R&D, the PLM Segment, SaaS BDMs, and implementation partners.

• Gather and analyze business use cases, converting them into thorough PLM solution designs.

• Represent design and implementation teams during project governance, offering recommendations and risk evaluations.

• Direct the design, implementation, and validation of PLM solutions within Windchill environments.

• Collaborate with implementation architects and IS teams to ensure solutions align with SaaS guardrails and industry best practices.

• Conduct technical feasibility assessments, including estimating and planning.

• Work with client IT/IS teams to establish deployment standards and cloud infrastructure needs.

• Facilitate client workshops, document business process challenges, and formulate solution roadmaps.

• Assist with data migration, configuration, and integration utilizing Windchill frameworks along with Java, JSP, XML, and Ant.

• Provide field insights to PTC R&D and the PLM Segment to enhance SaaS tools and services.

• Mentor project teams to ensure high-quality outputs and client satisfaction.

• Contribute to the development of enablement materials, best practices, and methodologies for partner ecosystems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related discipline.

• 7–12 years of experience in consulting, implementing, deploying, or supporting PLM systems, specifically focusing on PTC Windchill.

• Capability to architect enterprise PLM solutions, including process-centric deployments and application design.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and enterprise application frameworks.

• Exceptional communication skills to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Experience with Java, JSP, XML, and Ant in software development and deployment.

• Ability to visualize complex systems, guide diverse teams, and balance analytical and creative problem-solving approaches.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, with the ability to act decisively in dynamic settings.

• Proven capability to lead cross-functional teams involving customer and internal PTC stakeholders, including large-scale project teams.

• Experience in leading multi-solution PLM programs across various industries.

• Understanding of Windchill+ SaaS architecture.

• Proven track record in value management, solution adoption, and client transformation initiatives.

• Contributions to training, enablement, and community engagement within PLM consulting environments.

• Experience in the Automotive, MedTech, or Government sectors.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship from PTC.
