This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Act as the main engineering representative for Raytheon at the Patriot PAC-2 Missile Canister locations.
• Occasionally work on-site at supplier facilities in a hands-on leadership role.
• Frequently travel to the current canister supplier based in West Plains, Missouri, and to the future supplier, Zahid, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
• Collaborate with various engineering and non-technical disciplines, as well as suppliers, to devise design solutions.
• Address technical challenges and assist in resolving issues.
• Engage in trade studies and make informed technical decisions.
• Utilize technical problem-solving skills and hardware development expertise within a dynamic team setting.
• Contribute to the assembly and testing of the Patriot PAC-2 GEM-T Missile Canister.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Background in supplier support and development.
• Proficient in using CREO CAD design and documentation software.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• An active and valid DoD Secret security clearance is required from day one.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Preferred: experience in international supplier support or development.
• Preferred: advanced degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or hardware systems design.
• Preferred: familiarity with Military and Commercial Specifications.
• Preferred: experience in the design of Patriot PAC-2 Canisters.
• Preferred: knowledge of reliability or failure analysis.
• Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal conflict and within set schedules.
• Proven team player and self-motivated leader.
• Exceptional collaboration, communication, technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with PDM or similar product data management systems.
