Principal Information Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Information Security and IT teams to define, architect, and support enterprise security tools.

• Enhance Zero Trust methodologies and improve perimeter and endpoint detection and prevention capabilities in both data center and cloud settings.

• Identify security vulnerabilities and choose solutions that mitigate risks to acceptable levels.

• Evaluate vendor offerings against established requirements and ensure their integration into the wider security ecosystem.

• Lead the complete lifecycle of security technology adoption, from vendor selection to implementation.

• Establish security architecture and control frameworks for AI-driven systems and autonomous agents.

• Create architectural patterns and standards for prompt-layer protections, execution guardrails, agent identity, observability, and the monitoring of agent planning and tool usage.

• Assess emerging AI security technologies and outline security requirements and reference architectures.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members.

• Contribute to and improve the bank's perimeter security program.

• Design and deploy chosen technologies.

• Act as a security consultant and architect for various projects.

• Conduct security research and threat modeling, make recommendations, and supervise implementation.

• Assist with risk assessments by evaluating current controls and proposed modifications.

• Strengthen the Zero Trust strategy and architectural patterns.

• Stay informed about current and upcoming IT security technologies, threats, and trends.

• Define and uphold security architecture, governance standards, and reference patterns for AI-enabled applications, autonomous agents, and new AI technologies.

• Set enterprise requirements for AI security controls, including agent identity, prompt-layer protections, execution guardrails, observability, and risk management capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over eight years of relevant IT experience, including at least six years in a practical information security engineering or analyst role.

• Preferred industry-standard certifications such as SANS certifications, ISC2 CISSP, and AWS.

• Proficient in communicating ideas both verbally and in writing to management, business and IT stakeholders, and technical teams.

• Experience with and support of Cloud, Linux, and Windows systems.

• Strong conceptual grasp of distributed computing principles.

• Practical knowledge of application and data security concepts, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.

• Experience in the financial industry is an advantage.

• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for accessibility issues.
