
Principal HRIS Analyst, People Technology – Workday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the long-term strategy for HRIS and convert business objectives into a well-defined roadmap for Workday and associated people systems.
• Oversee cross-functional initiatives involving People, Finance, Talent Acquisition, IT, and other collaborators from the discovery phase through design, implementation, adoption, and continuous enhancement.
• Design scalable integrations across the people technology landscape to enhance reliability, minimize manual efforts, and improve system connectivity.
• Lead complex Workday configurations across Human Capital Management, compensation, benefits, talent management, performance, security, and other relevant areas.
• Manage the strategy for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) information technology general controls (ITGC) pertaining to People systems, establishing controls that ensure compliance and efficient execution.
• Facilitate design conversations with senior stakeholders and executives, transforming vague requirements into clear alternatives, tradeoffs, and implementation strategies.
• Create reporting, dashboards, and data-driven frameworks that assist leaders in interpreting trends and evaluating options.
• Encourage the practical application of automation and AI within people technology processes to enhance delivery, problem-solving, and team efficiency.
• Extensive knowledge of Workday across core people modules such as Human Capital Management, compensation, benefits, time tracking, talent, performance, and security.
• Proven experience in managing end-to-end people technology programs that involve multiple business functions and necessitate coordination among distributed stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Workday integration design, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and cross-system integration methodologies that promote scalability and resilience.
• Background in operating within a public company setting, with a solid grasp of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) information technology general controls (ITGC) and compliant system practices.
• Capability to collaborate with senior leaders and executives, lead design sessions, and clearly communicate system recommendations, tradeoffs, and their impact.
• Proficiency in navigating ambiguity, recognizing future needs, and establishing structures that empower teams to execute effectively.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI and automation to enhance workflows, expedite problem-solving, and broaden the functionality of people technology teams.
• Experience with structured problem-solving techniques to ask clarifying questions, assess tradeoffs, and apply relevant experience from consulting, in-house systems work, or both.
