Principal Hardware Design Engineer – Computing Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Design and evaluate Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) for Avionics Computers, including Processors, Memory, and interfaces.

• Utilize lab equipment for integration testing of hardware designs.

• Conduct schematic capture of digital/analog mixed signal electrical circuit designs.

• Work with Avionics I/O technologies such as Ethernet, ARINC 429, MIL-STD 1553, and PCIe.

• Oversee the layout of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).

• Implement Design to Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) principles.

• Mentor and assign tasks to junior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.

• Practical troubleshooting experience is essential.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities are required.
