This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, project management, testing, and operations teams in small, interdisciplinary groups to fulfill challenging customer demands.
• Oversee the design and development of 3U and 6U VPX Single Board Computers (SBC), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), switches, and I/O cards.
• Drive the design and development of custom form-factor systems that integrate SBC, FPGA, switches, I/O cards, power supplies, and thermal management components, including Liquid-Flow-Through methods.
• Assist business development, program managers, and customer teams in converting requirements into feasible system and functional designs.
• Evaluate the technical and economic viability of new designs and serve as a team/project leader.
• Offer technical guidance, implement best practices, and enhance product performance, reliability, and time-to-market.
• Lead and carry out tests to set standards for new or modified equipment, systems, or processes.
• Create and maintain technical procedures, documentation, and manuals.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) embedded systems and hardware design.
• Proficient in SBC, FPGA, switches, and I/O cards with frequencies up to 100 GHz.
• Extensive experience in designing mixed-signal, high-speed digital, analog, and low-power, high-current circuits in high-reliability settings.
• Skilled in designing high-density interconnect printed circuit boards (PCBs) with more than 26 layers, multilamination, blind/buried vias, and uVia structures.
• Practical experience with Siemens Expedition DX Designer (SCH) and Siemens Expedition PCB tools.
• Capability to prioritize tasks, achieve results, and operate in high-pressure, schedule-oriented environments.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, capable of architecting and completing complex designs with schedule-driven teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• US Citizenship is required.
• An active DoD security clearance is preferred.
• Must meet additional security screening requirements for access to export-controlled information.
