Principal Full-Stack Engineer – Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing product engineering team, fostering an environment for continuous delivery and learning.

• Remain actively involved in the codebase, contributing to system architecture, essential features, and intricate integrations.

• Design and create event-driven microservices that are scalable, observable, and resilient.

• Utilize full-stack engineering proficiency across backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications.

• Advocate for Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies such as pair programming, test-driven development, continuous integration, and small batch delivery.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to convert customer requirements into well-crafted, high-quality software solutions.

• Work alongside Platform and DevSecOps teams to ensure services are production-ready and conform to platform standards.

• Set and maintain high expectations for code quality, system architecture, and operational excellence.

• Mentor and guide engineers, offering regular feedback and supporting their professional growth.

• Engage in architectural discussions and assist in aligning team decisions with broader platform and AI strategies.

• Investigate and implement applied AI techniques that significantly enhance product functionalities or developer efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack development.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing and building event-driven microservices in live production settings.

• Strong grasp of distributed systems, API design, and data consistency methodologies.

• Experience in working across frontend and backend systems with intricate business logic.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and managed cloud services.

• A background in Extreme Programming (XP) practices is highly advantageous.

• Experience in applied AI engineering, particularly in integrating AI capabilities into software systems, is a plus.

• At least 5 years of experience leading or managing software engineering teams.
