This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Define and execute the operating model for Enterprise Architecture, including principles, governance cadence, and framework.
β’ Create, update, and present technology standards, reference architectures, and multi-year roadmaps for business systems and data platforms.
β’ Oversee formal architecture review processes for significant technology investments.
β’ Formulate and spearhead the enterprise AI architecture strategy, focusing on model integration patterns, LLM/agentic frameworks, infrastructure selections, and internal AI platform development.
β’ Establish responsible AI policies, data privacy standards, and architectural safeguards in collaboration with security, legal, and data governance teams.
β’ Provide counsel to executive leadership on emerging trends in AI architecture, associated risks, and strategic implications.
β’ Set data architecture standards and API integration frameworks.
β’ Assess and streamline the application portfolio to uncover consolidation opportunities, minimize technical debt, and eliminate redundancies.
β’ Serve as a trusted architectural authority across business, engineering, and security domains.
β’ Develop the business case for the expansion of Enterprise Architecture and oversee the recruitment, mentoring, and management of future architects.
β’ Report directly to the CIO and collaborate with leaders in business technology, data, and security.
β’ Over 10 years in progressively senior IT/technology roles with a degree; 8+ years with an advanced degree.
β’ At least 5 years of experience specifically in enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, or an architecture leadership role.
β’ Proven track record of building or significantly enhancing an Enterprise Architecture function, preferably in a mid-size ($500Mβ$5B revenue) or high-growth setting.
β’ Extensive knowledge of business systems architecture (ERP, CRM, financial systems) and data architecture principles.
β’ Direct experience in architecting or supervising AI/ML integration into enterprise systems, including LLM-based tools, AI copilots, or data platforms that support AI use cases.
β’ Foundational knowledge of AI security, data privacy, and governance principles.
β’ Strong understanding of cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP), integration patterns, and modern data platforms.
β’ Experience collaborating with or managing external consultants/implementation partners.
β’ Exceptional communication skills to convey complex architecture concepts to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
β’ Ability to function independently in a βteam of oneβ environment while contributing to the development of a larger function.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 20%.
β’ Reliable internet access for remote work outside a Workiva office.
