Principal Engineer, Data Center Deployment Ops

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Establishing and managing DigitalOcean's reference architectures for state-of-the-art Data Center environments

• Acting as the primary technical stakeholder for MEP systems

• Offering leadership and direction during the new site selection process

• Designing comprehensive cooling systems

• Developing complete power topologies

• Leading initiatives for proof-of-concept in infrastructure technologies

• Advising leadership on the implications of unconventional data center facilities

• Mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in data center architecture

• In-depth knowledge of MEP systems

• Strong understanding of cooling technologies

• Familiarity with AI/ML hardware development roadmaps

• Awareness of emerging infrastructure methodologies

• Proven track record in leading proof-of-concept projects

• Excellent skills in cross-functional collaboration

• Strong communication and leadership abilities
