Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to managers, executives, and global technical teams on technical issues, encompassing key products, projects, and best practices.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to uphold Weidmann’s market leadership.

• Deliver technical support and training to engineers, enhancing their skills and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Engage in industry committees and events to showcase Weidmann’s expertise in insulation.

• Foster customer satisfaction through direct technical support and collaboration with the commercial team.

• Spearhead and coordinate innovation initiatives, including the development of new products, trials, and validation for market introduction.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 15 years of relevant experience in a transformer manufacturing environment, which includes transformer electrical design, product development or R&D, as well as project management and customer interaction.

• Exceptional proficiency in English (both verbal and written), along with strong computer skills (e.g., MS Office, CAD), interpersonal abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

• Participation in IEEE or other industry organizations is preferred.
