Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Lead and advocate for the architecture of both innovative solutions and legacy enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.

• Oversee the development of architectural strategies, frameworks, and governance processes to guarantee sound technical investments.

• Serve as a hands-on leader, coding to establish core architectural components and promoting their adoption across engineering teams.

• Offer thought leadership and guidance on technical feasibility, technology stack selection, and modern implementation methodologies.

• Accelerate the integration of modern software engineering principles, guidelines, reusable libraries, and frameworks throughout the organization.

• Standardize and optimize engineering workflows, processes, and tools to enhance delivery efficiency, collaboration, and scalability.

• Incorporate DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) into daily development practices.

• Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to ensure transparency in engineering costs and aid in establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Enhance technical maturity across the organization by spearheading internal engineering communities and guilds.

• Mentor engineers and technical leads, cultivating a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and innovation.

• Design and identify technical training programs and growth opportunities for team members at all levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, or in a comparable technical leadership position.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant practical experience.

• Demonstrated success in designing multi-tier architectures and hands-on coding to bootstrap frameworks and ensure their adoption.

• Extensive experience with DevSecOps principles, deployment automation, modern CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

• Strong engineering leadership abilities with a proven capacity to inspire, motivate, and guide cross-functional technical teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of articulating complex architectural decisions to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Robust project management background utilizing Agile methodologies and contemporary delivery tools.
