Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering, C-Suite, Product leadership, and business stakeholders to translate company objectives into actionable technical strategies.

• Develop and oversee the company-wide AI development roadmap.

• Create AI development practices, tools, and a mindset throughout the engineering team.

• Take ownership of the comprehensive architectural vision for the platform.

• Direct the long-term progression of services while maintaining a balance between rapid iteration, security, privacy, and uptime requirements.

• Enhance engineering standards through architectural reviews and by mentoring Staff and Senior engineers.

• Promote a culture characterized by speed, rigor, and simplicity.

• Act as the technical voice in critical discussions with clients, partners, and cross-functional executives.

• Ensure alignment of technology with the core business values.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, evolving, and maintaining intricate, high-scale services.

• Proficiency in Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.

• Extensive knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.

• Expertise in relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, including AWS Aurora, RDS, and SQS.

• Thought leadership in AI-assisted software engineering.

• Capability to influence how teams utilize AI to reduce manual effort.

• Exceptional skill in articulating technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders, executives, and customers.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated history of providing technical leadership at scale.
