Principal Engineer – Agentic AI Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop strategies for the design, orchestration, and large-scale deployment of autonomous AI agents.

• Guide the technical vision and framework for cutting-edge agentic AI applications.

• Take responsibility for the comprehensive architecture of agentic systems, encompassing multi-agent orchestration, memory management, and reasoning pipelines.

• Establish infrastructure for non-deterministic loops, circuit breakers, latency-aware orchestration, and observability of tokens and costs.

• Create engineering patterns, design standards, and best practices for the development of agentic applications.

• Mentor and support the professional growth of senior engineers.

• Conduct architecture evaluations and lead critical technical decisions.

• Engage in hiring processes.

• Collaborate with AI Ops to develop, serve, and monitor agentic workloads.

• Work alongside Product, Research, and Platform teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-availability products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in software engineering.

• A minimum of 4 years in technical leadership or principal-level positions.

• Extensive hands-on experience in deploying LLM-powered or agentic systems into production.

• Familiarity with LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or custom-built runtimes.

• Proven experience in architecting distributed, high-availability systems.

• Proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks.

• In-depth understanding of RAG pipelines, vector databases, tool-calling APIs, and multi-step reasoning.

• Capability to translate complex AI concepts into clear technical roadmaps.

• Aiming to influence the engineering culture throughout the organization.

• Knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js is a plus.
