Principal Energy Consultant – Clean Energy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement tasks related to the development, financing, and execution of power generation initiatives.

• Create a consulting project execution strategy tailored to meet client requirements.

• Evaluate deliverables including reports and studies.

• Direct the project team by offering clear guidance, including technical methodologies.

• Monitor hours and tasks performed to adhere to budget and scope.

• Enhance staff proficiency through training and mentorship.

• Draft proposals for consulting project opportunities.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring that high-quality standards are maintained.

• Occasionally travel to project sites and client offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering (other engineering disciplines or finance/economics may also be considered).

• 15 or more years of experience within the power industry.

• Experience as an owner's engineer, independent engineer, and/or design engineer in the development and execution of power generation projects.

• Proven track record in managing teams of engineers.

• Technical expertise in various power generation technologies, including solar, battery energy storage, wind, and thermal.

• Capability to conduct feasibility studies for power projects.

• Experience in long-term power supply and transmission planning projects is advantageous.

• Familiarity with project finance or financial modeling of power projects is a plus.

• Knowledge of project contracts such as power purchase agreements, asset transfer agreements, and EPC contracts is beneficial.

• Previous experience in a consulting capacity is a plus.
