This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Create, develop, and evaluate new embedded software solutions.
• Utilize established development methodologies and support enhancements to these processes.
• Assess requirements and generate design alternatives.
• Create testing software and procedures.
• Produce comprehensive and precise user and design documentation.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and code evaluations.
• Offer insights and assessments regarding new technologies and products.
• Stay updated with trends in embedded software and disseminate knowledge.
• Provide task breakdowns and accurate estimations for project planning.
• Review and authenticate software releases.
• Manage software release processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in C programming.
• Experience in Linux and/or VxWorks device driver development.
• Development of hardware design verification tests.
• Knowledge in firmware and/or BIOS development.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong commitment to quality, responsibility, and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with embedded software engineering processes and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret IC datasheets and board schematics.
• Active secret clearance or the capability to obtain one is desirable.
• Experience with Yocto Linux/Xilinx PetaLinux.
• Familiarity with Xilinx MPSoC.
• Device driver development experience, including interrupts and DMA.
• Proficiency in software configuration management tools such as git/svn.
• Familiarity with software defect tracking tools like JIRA.
• Experience with software debugging tools.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as Digital Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and DVMs.
• Understanding of PCIe, PCI, FPGAs, I2C, Flash, and Ethernet.
