Principal Data Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop strategic roadmaps and set targeted outcomes for clients in a consultative role.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in data engineering to outline forthcoming engagements with pre-sales teams.

• Conduct technical interviews for candidates applying for Architect and Engineer positions.

• Offer technical direction to Architects and Engineers.

• Supervise the development and execution of data standards and operational procedures.

• Lead the design and implementation of intricate cloud-based data solutions for clients.

• Travel up to 25% based on business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the AWS data landscape.

• At least 10 years of experience in designing and constructing complex data systems.

• Proficient in at least two traditional data domains: relational database design, optimization and migration; data modeling for transactional and analytical systems, including the implementation of industry-standard data models; BI dashboards and visualizations; Data Governance and Master Data Management (MDM).

• Experienced in at least two emerging data areas: big data processing with Spark, streaming solutions, and NoSQL; Machine Learning and MLOps with expertise in SageMaker; foundational models in Generative AI and related methods and frameworks with proficiency in Bedrock; DataOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code, data testing, and data versioning.

• Familiar with at least two of the following: Infrastructure as Code tools; CI/CD pipelines and tools; Python for analytics and automation, including libraries like NumPy, pandas, and Matplotlib.

• Strong commitment to standardizing and documenting methodologies and solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Current legal authorization to work in Brazil; Caylent is unable to sponsor visa or work permit applications.
