This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the execution of reporting strategies and the development of reports for client engagements, primarily working independently while showcasing critical thinking and a comprehensive understanding of processes, strategic issues, context, and client requirements.
• Create content, which involves writing and editing reports, disclosures, and other related documents.
• Perform strategic analysis, benchmarking, and research to generate actionable recommendations for clients' short- and long-term reporting objectives.
• Lead project delivery teams made up of colleagues from various levels and departments within the organization, reviewing and refining team members' outputs and ensuring they adhere to our quality standards: clear, well-articulated, reflective of thorough thought and analysis, error-free, and polished.
• Complete tasks punctually, within budget, and to an exceptional standard, ensuring projects meet or surpass targeted goals and deadlines.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, each with distinct project teams that may include external contractors, overseeing timelines, workstreams, and budgets while proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project success.
• Demonstrate an understanding of both voluntary and mandatory disclosure strategies, various reporting frameworks, rating agencies, regulatory requirements, and best practices in reporting.
• Provide guidance to clients on reporting strategy initiatives through rater and framework gap analyses, benchmarking, and reporting trend evaluations to formulate recommendations for programmatic and policy enhancements that address disclosure gaps and boost performance.
• Assist clients in developing and implementing processes to ensure readiness for assurance in their sustainability reporting.
• Integrate and leverage ESG data management tools and software solutions.
• Contribute to and formulate proposals for potential clients and projects, as well as enhance engagement scopes and support existing clients, collaborating with colleagues across Anthesis to advance their sustainability objectives.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience as a sustainability practitioner, with direct experience in leading or supporting corporate sustainability reporting and disclosure efforts.
• In-depth knowledge of sustainability/ESG issues and related reporting trends, drivers, and frameworks, with the capability to identify and articulate opportunities for enhancing sustainability disclosure and performance.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following disclosures: CDP (Climate, Water, and/or Forest), S&P Global CSA (DJSI), MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, and EcoVadis.
• Familiarity with the following reporting standards or frameworks: GRI, IFRS/ISSB, SASB, and TCFD.
• Awareness of existing and forthcoming ESG disclosure requirements, such as CSRD, SFDR, ISSB, and California Climate Disclosure Rules; experience with Workiva for report development is advantageous.
• Self-motivated and highly driven, with the ability to collaborate effectively and adaptively with virtual teams.
• A strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a commitment to client service.
