Principal Consultant, GenAI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Independently manage high-impact, client-facing projects while supervising junior consultants and engineers.

• Develop and enhance LLM applications, such as AI Agents, RAG systems, evaluation pipelines, prompt chaining, and output optimization.

• Design, create, and implement GenAI pipelines utilizing tools like DSPy, MLFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Databricks Mosaic AI.

• Engage directly with models like OpenAI GPT, LLaMA, Claude, and others—fine-tuning or prompt-tuning as necessary.

• Ingest and manage both unstructured and structured data for GenAI systems, encompassing document parsing, chunking, vectorization, and retrieval.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop custom UI and API integrations, enhancing GenAI-powered user experiences.

• Apply enterprise-grade best practices for security, compliance, evaluation, and governance in GenAI initiatives.

• Create evaluation frameworks using MLFlow, Mosaic AI Eval tools, along with standard and custom metrics.

• Assist with CI/CD and DABs for AI applications while promoting code and model artifacts across different environments.

• Contribute to internal accelerators and reusable GenAI components as part of our expanding framework library.

• Partner closely with senior leadership to craft architecture and delivery plans that meet client requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in Machine Learning or NLP; at least 2 years focused on LLMs or Generative AI systems, ideally using Databricks.

• Expertise in open-source LLM tools such as Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or similar orchestration libraries.

• Strong practical experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog, MLFlow, Delta Tables, etc.).

• Understanding of GenAI-specific challenges, including hallucination mitigation, grounding techniques, and evaluation frameworks.

• Experience in designing and deploying applications with a focus on security, compliance, and scalability.

• Exceptional communication skills with a strong ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
