Principal Consultant – Education Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete solution architecture for Education Cloud implementations and digital transformation projects.

• Act as a strategic consultant for executive leaders, business sponsors, technology teams, and other client stakeholders.

• Conduct discovery workshops to grasp institutional goals, business processes, operational obstacles, and future requirements.

• Create scalable solution designs, architecture diagrams, data models, and implementation plans.

• Design solutions encompassing Recruitment and Admissions, Student Success, Advising, Academic Operations, Advancement, Alumni Relations, and Constituent Engagement.

• Establish enterprise data architecture, governance frameworks, security models, and integration strategies across Salesforce and external systems.

• Lead the strategy and planning for data migration from legacy student information systems and related platforms.

• Provide architectural guidance throughout design reviews, configuration support, testing strategies, deployment plans, and post-production optimization.

• Collaborate with technical architects, developers, business analysts, and project managers.

• Promote the adoption of Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and other components of Education Cloud.

• Participate in pre-sales activities, solution estimation, proposal development, and client presentations.

• Mentor consultants and solution engineers while upholding architectural standards, delivery methodologies, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Education Technology, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of experience with the Salesforce platform.

• More than 3 years in a role as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Lead Consultant, or a comparable leadership position.

• Extensive knowledge of Education Cloud and the business processes within higher education.

• Strong comprehension of Education Cloud data architecture, including person accounts, relationships, affiliations, academic structures, and student lifecycle management.

• Experience in designing enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions that involve multiple clouds, integrations, and complex data migrations.

• Proven track record in developing enterprise data models, security architectures, and integration frameworks.

• Strong grasp of Salesforce platform capabilities, declarative architecture, Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, and other related technologies.

• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and consulting abilities.

• Capability to convert complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and strategic roadmaps.
