This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead client engagements by providing advice and implementing innovative solutions that assist clients in planning and executing their decarbonization efforts.

• Serve clients in various sectors, including technology, food and agriculture, financial services, healthcare, and retail and apparel.

• Manage and deliver projects focused on target-setting and decarbonization, which encompass technical analyses, client reports, and presentations.

• Cultivate and enhance client relationships by identifying opportunities to expand upon existing engagements.

• Lead and support the creation of proposals and competitive bids.

• Exhibit technical expertise in areas such as cloud computing, data centers, and the impacts of AI within the technology sector.

• Contribute to the development of service offerings and share best practices within the team.

• Promote an inclusive and collaborative team culture.

• Collaborate across different geographic and cultural boundaries.

• Contribute to Anthesis’ innovation and thought leadership in the realm of corporate climate action.

• Provide expertise in science-based target modeling as well as SBTi and other relevant frameworks.

• Lead intricate target-setting and decarbonization planning projects, including those related to Scope 3 emissions.

• Develop decarbonization plans that create value and align with clients’ strategic objectives.

• Advise clients on how to translate decarbonization initiatives into long-term business value.

• Apply sector expertise across technology, food and agriculture, financial services, healthcare, or retail and apparel.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in decarbonization, climate strategy, sustainability consulting, or related areas.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).

• Direct experience in developing and modeling Science-Based Targets (SBTi).

• Comprehensive understanding of SBTi guidance and requirements.

• Expertise in assessing, modeling, and reducing Scope 3 emissions.

• Experience in designing and implementing corporate decarbonization strategies and roadmaps.

• Strong knowledge of GHG Accounting principles and GHG Protocol requirements.

• Ability to translate decarbonization initiatives into commercially viable and value-adding business models.

• Experience in supporting senior leadership teams with climate and sustainability decision-making.

• Sector experience in Technology, Food & Agriculture, Retail, or Apparel.

• Strong skills in client management and stakeholder engagement.

• Proven capabilities in project management.

• Ability to constructively challenge clients while achieving meaningful sustainability outcomes.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills.

• Strong understanding of corporate sustainability challenges, climate risks, and transition opportunities.

• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience with digital tools and analytical platforms related to decarbonization and emissions management.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment.

• High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
