Principal Consultant – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to facilitate design and engineering initiatives for AWS projects and solutions.

• Deliver professional services to CDW customers worldwide on leading Public Cloud platforms.

• Provide comprehensive oversight of technical solutions across various projects to ensure a cohesive approach and broad visibility for the solutions delivery team.

• Work in close partnership with other CDW consulting teams to create unified technical solution strategies, emphasizing the connection between sales and delivery.

• Emphasize technical standardization and well-defined approaches for client solutions.

• Assist with the review and approval of Statements of Work (SOW) as necessary.

• Lead technical deployment engineering with clients on workload design across major public cloud providers.

• Conduct workshops and training sessions for customers and industry leaders on emerging technologies in the Public Cloud arena.

• Provide training and mentorship to Engineers and Architects to enable them to engage in Cloud and DevOps projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and over 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, including a minimum of 3 years in large enterprise consulting.

• Alternatively, over 10 years of IT Infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in large enterprise consulting.

• Proven track record of maintaining client relationships as a trusted advisor and mentoring engineers in project design and coordination.

• A valid U.S. driver’s license is mandatory.

• Demonstrated expertise in public cloud platforms, with awareness of multi-platform solutions and their capabilities.

• Strong knowledge of automation and infrastructure as code.

• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including master and worker nodes, API server, etcd, kubelet, kube-proxy, and container runtimes.
