This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Design, develop, and support full-stack web applications utilizing Python, Java, C++, and contemporary frontend frameworks.
• Create scalable backend services and APIs through Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly, and secure interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and Tailwind.
• Construct healthcare and research applications that assist clinical, operational, and AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate with Product, AI/ML/Data Engineering, IT/Infrastructure, and Business teams to transform requirements into efficient software solutions.
• Design and implement application features that integrate AI/ML capabilities.
• Incorporate AI services and machine learning models into production applications via APIs and service interfaces.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to facilitate model inference, prompt-based experiences, and AI-enhanced workflows in healthcare scenarios.
• Develop secure and scalable application components within the AWS ecosystem using services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access, and secure data handling practices suitable for regulated healthcare settings.
• Create integrations with both internal and external systems through APIs, event-driven approaches, and secure service communication.
• Establish and maintain automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to guarantee software quality and reliability.
• Advocate for CI/CD practices and modern software delivery methodologies using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Contribute to application monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure performance, stability, and maintainability.
• Engage in architecture and design reviews, offering insights on application structure, scalability, security, and AI integration strategies.
• Document application functionality, technical architectures, and operational processes.
• Ensure that solutions comply with healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, and GxP-aligned practices where applicable.
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to engineering standards, code quality, and technical best practices.
• Strong expertise in Python, Java, and C++ development, with experience in building enterprise or healthcare software applications.
• Significant experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs and application backends.
• Solid understanding of AWS services utilized in application development and deployment.
• Experience in creating secure, scalable web applications within cloud environments.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and secure application design methodologies.
• Strong grasp of application testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in integrating third-party services, APIs, and internal systems.
• Background in developing applications featuring AI/ML capabilities or intelligent workflows.
• Knowledge of AI/ML application patterns such as model inference, LLM integration, prompt-driven experiences, search/retrieval, summarization, or recommendation features.
• Experience collaborating with Data Science or ML teams to bring AI-driven application features to production.
• Understanding of healthcare privacy, security, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and GDPR.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
